It's all over for 2008!

This is our one big fund-raiser for the year. The funds we raise from this help offset the costs of our boats, their insurance and upkeep as well as helping to pay for camps and other activities your youth participate in.

We had a record lack of participation this year... only 14 orders received, despite having record membership in the Group. That's half of the participation we saw last year - from a smaller membership.

45% of the order total came from just one youth!!

Unfortunately this will mean additional fund-raising will be needed to make up the short-fall... something we'd hoped to avoid. Keep your eyes open for pies and cookies as well as other things we'll now need to try.

We possess some of the most exciting equipment of any Scout Group in the Lower Mainland... but it costs a significant amount of money to maintain, and that has to come from somewhere. If we can't raise it through fundraising, the only alternative is higher fees for next year's registration - something we try very hard to avoid each year.

Popcorn delivery will be collected by Group on 22nd November, and be available for distribution in the Section meetings the following week.
