Popcorn 2009 is here!

This is our one big fund-raiser for the year. The funds we raise from this help offset the costs of our boats, their insurance and upkeep as well as helping to pay for camps and other activities your youth participate in.

Last year we had a really poor participation... only 14 orders received, despite having record membership in the Group! 45% of the order total came from just one youth!!

If we don't perform well in this fund-raiser it means we have to tighten our belts and ask parents for more cash or simply cutting trips and camps.

We possess some of the most exciting equipment of any Scout Group in the Lower Mainland... but it costs a significant amount of money to maintain, and that has to come from somewhere. If we can't raise it through fund-raising, the only alternative is higher fees for next year's registration - something we try very hard to avoid each year.

Deadline for getting your sections order forms will be at the Halloween Howl, Oct 28!
Sections will pick up their orders Sunday Nov 22 morning at the Boathouse, and distribute them to their youth the following meeting.
