Shipping Tents to Uganda - 22nd
January 2011
George Sandwith of the Rotary
World Help Network helping to organise for shipment the 35
tents donated by various groups within Fraser Valley for the
Scout Troop in Mintyana. Their stated goal of "Helping
Communities Help Themselves" was a perfect addition to the
kindness displayed by local Groups donating their excess tents
for the Scouting youth of Mityana.
Special thanks to:
- John Lightfoot (Group Commissioner) and leaders of 1st
Semiahmoo for their support in letting me go ahead with this
project
- Barney Dohm (Area Commissioner for West SurDel) for his
tireless support
- Grant Gilmour for making the connection with Rotary
- George Sandwith and Janice Froese of RWHN for helping us
get the tents to the youth that need them
- The following Fraser Valley Council groups for donating
their tents:
